2005 CPA exam Grad on 7th spot MMSU is 2nd best

COLLEGE OF BUSINESS, ECONOMICS, AND ACCOUNTANCY – Mark Joseph A. Rivera, 2005 magna cum laude graduate, led 11 other MMSU graduates in passing the licensure examination for accountants given this month by the Professional Regulation Commission’s board of accountancy.

Rivera, a consistent university scholar in college, placed seventh in the said examination where MMSU was also recognized as second top-performing school (with 10-25 examinees) of accountancy in the Philippines. This was made possible by the graduates’ passing performance which registered at 57.14 percent. The national passing record was only 25.18 percent.

The other new accountants, all members of Class 2005, are: Charlemagne C. Aganon, Hazel Joy M. Alcaraz, Ronald A. Bensan, Benalyn R. de Jesus, Ronald C. Eugenio, Allan E. Macaburas, Rosemarie S. Mackay, Maureen C. Paulino, Edward Jun A. Pinpin, Elizabeth C. Talbo, and Grace M. Turqueza.
