MANUEL Ted F. Aurelio and Baldhomero L. Ranjo II, faculty members of the physical therapy department of the College of Health Sciences, recently finished their Master of Science in Physical Therapy (MSPT) from the University of Santo Tomas-University of South Australia.  Aurelio specialized in orthopaedic track while Ranjo pursued the neurologic track.  Both graduated cum laude.

Aurelio and Ranjo were both recipients of the University Manpower Development Program (UMDP).  The former, who had earlier earned in 2002 his Master of Arts in Education from MMSU’s Graduate School, attended the MSPT program from 2004 to 2006.  Ranjo, on the other hand, started his degree in 2003.

Meanwhile, Cheryll Didi Nellie N. Obra and Ryan Dean T. Sucgang, also faculty members of the said department, are likewise, presently attending their respective graduate studies in Metro Manila – Obra in her MSPT at UST and Sucgang in his Master of Science in Human Movement Science at the University of the Philippines in Diliman.  Both faculty members are also recipients of UMDP scholarships.

The sending of faculty members for graduate studies is part of the present administration’s thrust to strengthen competencies of faculty and staff who are considered as the most important resources in the university.
