To enhance institutional plans and strategic priorities, the Planning Directorate conducted the Enhancement of 2026 Annual Institutional Plan (AIP) Workshop on October 28 at the Center for Flexible Learning.
The workshop focused on enhancing the university’s 2026 AIP, which connects the strategic goals of the university across its colleges and directorates. It also aimed to improve the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), annual targets and other school operational commitments.
In his message, Vice President for Planning and Strategic Foresight Meejay Domingo explained that the workshop addressed observations from the 2026 Midyear performance review, particularly the need to improve the alignment of annual plans to ensure effective monitoring of university performance.
“AIP goes beyond a list of targets and activities, serving as a commitment to the university’s vision and calling for stronger communication among offices,” Domingo added.
The workshop brought together Planning and Development Coordinators and representatives from different directorates and colleges to establish common plan strategies across operating units.
During the activity, Dr. Sabina Pariñas, chief of Program Planning Services reiterated the functions of each unit to continue developing initiatives for the targets. This was followed by an orientation of the quarterly accomplishment reports led by Ms. Suzeth Nicole Ruguian, chief of Monitoring and Evaluation.
Meanwhile, Planning Directorate Director Sherlyn Nicolas in her message emphasized the importance of aligning institutional priorities with available resources and ensuring its effective implementation to university-wide goals.
As MMSU works toward its vision of becoming a premier university by 2033, the initiative reinforces its goal to a coordinated, measurable and result-oriented institutional planning. (𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘳𝘦𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘐𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘯𝘢 𝘖𝘳𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘰)
