Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) conducted an orientation for MMSU College Admission Test (MCAT) committee on October 22 to ensure the orderly, secure, and fair administration of the examination, scheduled from November 7, 2026, to January 9, 2027.

Led by MCAT Chair Dr. Rosabel Acosta, the orientation gathered members of the committee, composed of examiners, secretariat, proctors, and technical working group of information technology (TWGIT), review test procedures, clarify their duties, and discuss ways to protect test materials and prevent cheating.

The orientation covered the status of applications, examination schedules, and operational guidelines. Examiners and proctors are responsible for checking that all testing materials are complete and ready for use before the examination.

The committee also emphasized the importance of maintaining suitable testing conditions and accommodating examinees’ needs. To protect the integrity of the examination, relevant personnel were instructed to properly handle and securely store test materials, restrict access to authorized individuals, and prevent cheating.

Proctors are responsible for keeping test materials confidential and ensuring that examinees do not receive answers or hints or gain unauthorized copies or photographs of the materials. All personnel must arrive on time and sign a Certificate of No Disclosure and Agreement.

Through the orientation, the university commits to maintaining the integrity of its admission process and providing applicants with equal opportunities to qualify for admission.
