German researcher, MMSU alumna share global expertise in academic lectures

International expertise took center stage at Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) as a German researcher and an MMSU alumna delivered lectures that exposed students and faculty members to global perspectives in mathematics, atmospheric dynamics, and English education, held at the Center for Flexible Learning on July 29.
 

Dr. Tridib Banerjee, a postdoctoral researcher in Mathematics and Atmospheric Dynamics from Goethe University Frankfurt, Germany, discussed recent developments in mathematics and atmospheric dynamics and their applications in research and higher education.
 

Joining him was Ms. Johanna Castro Banerjee, an alumna of the MMSU College of Teacher Education and an English-certified educator based in Frankfurt, Germany, who returned to her alma mater to share practical approaches to English language teaching and insights from her experience as an educator abroad.
 

MMSU President Dr. Virgilio Julius P. Manzano, Jr., said engagements with international experts and alumni enrich the University's academic environment and strengthen its commitment to globally relevant education.

The lecture sessions form part of MMSU's continuing internationalization initiatives, which promote knowledge exchange, academic collaboration, and stronger linkages with scholars and institutions around the world.
