To further support knowledge sharing, the MMSU booth displayed and distributed a variety of Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials produced by the Extension Directorate and the Ilocos Agriculture, Aquatic, Resources Research and Development Consortium (ILAARRDEC).
Meanwhile, three extension staff, namely Ms. Mercy Gaño, Chief of Knowledge Product and Services; Ms. Abegel Joson, Chief of Technology Promotion and Demonstration Services; and Ms. Joycel Lagrio, Training Assistant, served as judges in the booth competition.
Through the caravan, the Research and Extension Directorates continue to bridge the gap between scientific innovation and community needs, ensuring that the people of Vintar benefit directly from MMSU’s mission of advancing sustainable and science-based agricultural services.
The Information and Technology Caravan is a comprehensive and integrated strategy for facilitating the transfer and utilization of technologies developed and fine-tuned by MMSU and other research and development agencies in the region. This mobile exhibit booth cum service delivery is designed to complement and supplement other information and technology transfer schemes.
