MMSU partners with DMMMSU for int’l R&D confab
Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) partnered with Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU) to organize the 3rd International Research and Innovation Conference on Education, Engineering, and Agriculture (IRICEEA), which took place in Bauang, La Union, from December 3 to 5, 2025.
The partnership was formalized through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signed by MMSU Vice President for Academic Affairs Aris Reynold Cajigal and DMMMSU President Jaime Manuel, Jr. Dr. Cajigal signed the MOA on behalf of MMSU President Virgilio Julius P. Manzano, Jr. In addition to the signing, Dr. Cristina D. Valentin, chief of the Regional Research and Training Center for Climate Change Studies, along with other MMSU researchers, participated in the conference.
As part of the collaboration, MMSU assisted DMMMSU University Research, Development, and Innovation Office with event planning and execution. The university also provided personnel support for the conference and oversaw the monitoring and evaluation of the event.
The conference gathered local and international scholars, focusing on breakthroughs in education, engineering, and agriculture. With the theme "AI in Research and Innovation: Accelerating Discoveries in Education, Engineering, and Agriculture," the event featured presentations from experts across multiple countries, featuring advancements and innovative practices in these vital sectors.
