Univ officials craft 5-year strategic plan

Members of the Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) administrative council are virtually convened in a meeting today to craft the University’s strategic plan for the next five years (2022-2026). 

 

In the two-day Strategic Planning Workshop, the officials will formulate the new MMSU plans in line with its seven-point agenda ACHIEVE: Academic excellence; Creative, relevant, and innovative research programs; High-impact and transformative and extension and outreach programs; Improved revenue generation; External and strengthened linkages and partnerships; Vibrant and engaging, culturally-focused university campus; and Effective and efficient management.

 

The plans are collegially discussed by the whole Administrative Council, led by team leaders: Dr. Prima Fe R. Franco, vice president for academic affairs; Dr. Marilou P. Lucas, director for research; Dr. Aris Reynold V. Cajigal, director for extension; Ms. Leni G. Bayangos, director for business; Dr. Mee Jay A. Domingo, director for external linkages and partnerships; Engr. Romeo R. Duldulao, director of physical planning and development office; and Dr. Oscar M. Agpaoa, OIC-VP for administration and finance.

 

MMSU President Shirley C. Agrupis thanked the officials for their concerted efforts in realizing most of its targets in the University’s strategic plan for 2017-2022, saying the administration’s performance in the last four years directs the way forward. 

 

Pres. Agrupis said the University’s strategic plan may change but never the goal – to become a premier Philippine university by 2028. Thus, she encouraged the administrators “to stay right on track through our ACHIEVE 2.0.”

 

Citing the importance of strategic planning for the University, the president reminded the university officials “to know our problems and priorities, and to translate these to objectives with verifiable success indicators and evidence.” (StratCom)
