MMSU produces 2 topnotchers
On the eve of the 98th birthday of the university’s founder, President Ferdinand E. Marcos, a very good news was known: MMSU produced two topnotchers in the September 2015 Registered Master Electrician (RME) Licensure Examination. Engineers Ashley Jessumine A. Pajas and Dennis A. Pungtilan of Class 2015 both ranked tenth. They also passed the licensure examination for registered electrical engineers (REE).
MMSU’s passing rate in the RME examination is 82.69, one of the highest in the nation where the average is only 63.01. Of the forty-six examinees (thirty five first takers and six retakers), thirty eight passed (35 first takers, 3 retakers).
For the RME examination, MMSU fielded 68 examinees (43 new takers and 13 retakers) resulting to a 67.65 percent institutional passing rate, slightly above the 67.23 national figure. It would be noted that the passing percentage among new takers is high at 82.69 percent (34 of 52).
Dr. Prima Fe R. Franco, OIC-president, expressed her commendation to the topnotchers and passers. “They have once more affirmed MMSU’s tradition of excellence,” she said in s a statement. (By Herdy La. Yumul)
