Adding color to the 45th Foundation Anniversary of Mariano Marcos State University, a theatrical performance titled ‘Ang Lagusan’ will be presented tomorrow, January 24, at the Teatro Ilocandia.
The theater play to be featured in the month-long festivities will be performed by the MMSU Teatro Normal, a student organization based at the College of Teacher Education in Laoag campus.
‘Ang Lagusan’ will have two runs: the Matinee Show at 1:00 pm, and the Gala Show at 4:00 pm.
Directed by Dr. James Zandro Ventura III, ‘Ang Lagusan’ will portray various social issues such as poverty, abuse of power, and the impact of negligence and support of a family. Its main casts are CTE students Nathaniel Balisacan, Jonalyn G. Bareng, Amherstia P. Magayano, Fevilyn G. Aglipay, Deejay C. Antonio, Angeline M. Caraang, and Nathaniel Doropan.
“Through this performance, we aim to make people realize that whatever actions we take during our existence on earth will have great consequences in the afterlife,” said Dr. Ventura.
“We also hope to inspire young people to engage themselves in theatrical productions,” he added. (HLY/JVBT/DPT, StratCom)
