76 MMSU employees receive CSC Length of Service recognition

In recognition of their dedicated public service, 76 Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) employees were honored by the Civil Service Commission at the Length of Service Awards 2026, held at the Ilocandia Cultural Center on September 22.

The MMSU awardees were among the honorees recognized from different local government units, government agencies, state universities and colleges, and government-owned or controlled corporations across the province. The ceremony was held in celebration of the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary this month.

In the awarding ceremony, employees who have rendered service for 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, and more years of dedicated service were recognized. 

For the MMSU employees, Mr. Nestor Alonzo, staff of the Extension Directorate, was awarded for his 43 years of service, while Mrs. Jean Pacubat, College Registrar of the College of Industrial Technology, and Mr. Rogelio Sacramento of the General Services Directorate, were recognized for their 42 years of service. 

Atty. Marilyn Barua-Yap, Chairperson of the Civil Service Commission, through her message delivered by the Assistant Regional Director of CSC Region 1, Cornelia Rillera, extended her appreciation to the public servants who wholeheartedly poured their hearts into serving the people, emphasizing that their efforts helped shape the community and the future of the country. 

“Behind every milestone celebrated today are thousands of lives touched, families uplifted, and communities transformed, because you answered the call to serve with unyielding puso, dangal, at galing,” the Chairperson said in her message.
 

Ilocos Norte Governor Cecilia Araneta Marcos also expressed her appreciation to the awardees, recognizing that their commitment to public service is a huge contribution to the province, especially to its people. 

“Today, we celebrate the dedication and the years of service of our awardees. Truly, we honor your commitment, sacrifices, and the many years you have devoted to public service. We at the Provincial Government of Ilocos Norte are grateful for the knowledge, experience, and dedication you continue to bring to the government,” Governor Marcos said in her speech. 
 

City of Batac Mayor Mark Christian Chua and Laoag City Mayor James Bryan Alcid congratulated the awardees. Mayor Chua said that their length of service serves as an inspiration for the next generation, noting that what they have started showed a good example for them to follow.

Mayor Alcid also emphasized the commitment of the honorees to serve, which remains uninterrupted despite leadership and structural changes.
