The MMSU Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) cadets showcased their tactical and leadership skills during the Regional Annual Administrative and Tactical Inspection (RAATI) for the School Year 2025-2026 held in Batac City on April 12.
MMSU President Virgilio Julius P. Manzano, Jr. was represented by Vice President for Administration and Finance Fides Bernardo Bitanga, who shared motivational words with the cadets.
“Always carry with you the core values of responsibility and discipline. Let these guide your actions in your daily lives because the character that you will build here will follow you wherever you go,” Bitanga said.
Conducted by the Reserve Command of the Philippine Army, the inspection tests the readiness of the cadets through a series of practical and written assessments.
Like previous years, MMSU earned an outstanding rating of 93.09%. The university has been consistent in improving the rating for RAATI, which reflects the quality of ROTC training in the MMSU
The assessments included weapons training using M16 rifles and caliber .45 pistols, company drills at the MMSU Oval, and a comprehensive examination.
Cadets also demonstrated competencies in map reading, land navigation, and first aid procedures, while simulated raid and ambush scenarios tested their tactical decision-making and leadership under pressure.
The inspection team was led by RAATI Chairperson Col. Camilo Saddam and Vice Chairperson Col. Delfin Rean Ante, along with other military personnel, including Cpt. Joseph Plumentera, SSg. Jeffrey Cuntapay, SSg. Domar Martirez, SSg. Ronald Pabico, SSg. Jeonathan Binabice, Cpl. Glend Agustin, and Sgt. Raphael Millares.
The training staff of the Inspection was headed by Commandant LTC Meliton Agpaoa represented by Asst. Command COL. Ceasar Marlon Yadao.
University officials, including Vice President for Academic Affairs Aris Reynold Cajigal, CDIL Director Luvee Hazel Aquino, OIC-Chief of the NSTP Jonas Dela Cruz, and ROTC Coordinator Reynold Guiang, attended the activity and encouraged the cadets to continue their service for the nation.
