| THE COLLEGE |
The College of Agriculture and Forestry (CAF) traces its roots to the Batac Rural High School which was established in 1918 and later transformed into the Ilocos Norte Institute of Technology (INIT) in 1969. |

| GOALS |
- To develop the state-of-the-art and innovative learning and instructional technologies and reliable student support services founded on high standards of social, moral and spiritual values;
- To carry out focused, high impact, and relevant research and technology development activities for local, regional and national and international importance;
- To develop and implement replicable models of extension delivery for sustainable agriculture, forestry, and rural development; and
- To implement income-generating projects that will showcase the generated technologies while providing income for the university.

| OBJECTIVES |
Pursuant to its mission and goals and in accordance with the vision of the university, the College of Agriculture and Forestry aims to:
- Develop and produce new breeds of professionals in the areas of agriculture, agricultural engineering, forestry, development communication, and home technology who are competitive in the local and international job market or as enterprising individuals who are significant agents of progressive agro- industrialization;
- Continuously generate and validate new information and technologies through problem- and need-focused researchers in all of its areas of concerns;
- Contribute significantly to sustainable agricultural and rural transformation and development through effective and efficient promotion of research-based information and technologies among its target clientele using responsive extension modalities and strategies; and
- Contribute substantially to the generation of income for the college and the university through the conduct of business-oriented activities to apply and manifest the virtue of excellence pursued by its staff in instruction, research and extension.
